Day Rides vs. Overnight Pack Trips
Day Rides
Guided by at least one wrangler, half day and full day horseback rides are the perfect way to
experience Colorado's high country close up in a short amount of time. Full day rides include
a packed lunch. Fishing is optional, and photography is highly recommended!
Overnight Pack Trips
During the summer season we set up a full-service camp high in the heart of the Flattops
between Trapper and Shingle Peak. The camp, which is approximately a half day ride from
our headquarters, includes a cook tent, two large (16' X 20') wall tents (one for guests; one for
wranglers and cook), cots for sleeping, and a wood stove for heating your tent.
Overnight trips are the perfect way to kick back and relax in the Colorado high country. With
the convenience of at least one wrangler, a full-time cook, and all the food required for three
hearty meals per day, guests can enjoy a no-fuss camping vacation with full-service treatment!
HHGS wranglers are responsible for caring for the livestock and guiding you to your choice of
several mountain lakes or streams for fishing. Day rides from the camp are also available for
pleasure riding and scenic photography tours of the spectacular vistas in the Flattops.
