Nestled above Sweetwater Lake and on the edge of the
Colorado White River National Forest, Hilltop High
Guide Service (HHGS) is a full-service pack outfitter with
permit licenses for tent camps in the Flattops Wilderness
area -- most of which are located within Unit 25.
Named for its numerous flat-topped cliffs, the Flattops is
Colorado's second largest wilderness area. HHGS
provides big game hunters, fisherman and summer
tourists guided access to the Flattops and some of the
most pristine mountain territory Colorado has to offer.

was purchased in 2007 by three seasoned partners with
close ties to CHG: Dr. Jim Dysart -- owner of the
neighboring and historic Hilltop Ranch, and Frank
Dodge and Alan Hood -- former CHG employees.
Founded more than 30 years ago by Cade Benson and
Dennis Bergstad, CHG was one of the nation's
preeminent hunting and outfitting services. Today,
HHGS strives to continue the tradition set forth by
Benson and Bergstad by providing a superior outdoor
experience in Colorado's beautiful high country -- be it
hunting, fishing, camping or trail riding.
